Zimbabwe is a landlocked country, surrounded by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the west, Zambia to the northwest and Mozambique to the east and northeast. Zimbabwe also meets Namibia to the west at a single point. To the south, Zimbabwe is separated from South Africa by the Limpopo River.

Zimbabwe has some of the worlds most amazing natural beauty spots. The most well known and most visited of which is Victoria Falls located in the Victoria Falls National Park at the end of the Zambezi River. Zimbabwe boasts 8 big national parks the Largest of which is the Hwange National Park covering 14,600 square kilometres.

COLT can offer you several volunteer projects within Zimbabwe, you can be working alongside experienced ecologists and zoologists to gather essential data on various wildlife species and their habitats, walk and work with lions in this exclusive private game reserve. Be involved in the research of lions’ behaviour and work with us on the world’s only programme for their release into the wild, assist the Department of National Parks and Wildlife Management in their conservation and research work in three of Zimbabwe’s most famous National Parks. Included in these three are Hwange National Park, and much much more.
