What We Do

What type of projects can I take part in?

COLT can offer you two types of adventures. With us you can take part in one of our volunteer projects and help out a community or you can take part in expeditions.

We have a vast range of different volunteer projects that you can take part in.

Assist a rural community

Lake Naivasha - Along with our African Impact team you will then be involved in the assistance of a rural community by building a bridge across a local river that when flooded cuts off medical assistance to several surrounding rural villages. Following the building work you will safari on the local Laikipian ranch of El Karama for encounters with the Big 5.

Conservation

Hwange National Park - Together with our consultant PhD ecologists, we have developed an exciting programme where snare sweeps, game counts, visual observations and the darting of snared animals and the subsequent removal of these snares are all important aspects of wildlife conservation. Imagine the thrill of being able to work off road and perhaps even at night, in the presence of Hwange's Big 5!

Hwange & Matobo National Parks - From the Hwange National Park project we then offer you the opportunity to move on to the World Heritage Site Matobo National Park. Our project base within the National Park is nestled amongst the magnificent granite domes of the Matobo Hills, and is perfectly located to accommodate this multifaceted programme.
